The development of Neighbourhood Plans has highlighted the strong local need to ameliorate the impact of traffic in smaller towns and villages. Examples include the two adjoining villages of Ivinghoe and Pitstone in Buckinghamshire. In an area under huge pressure for development and growth, the need to tame traffic and reduce speeds is strongly reflected in local concerns. Hamilton-Baillie Associates have prepared feasibility studies and recommendations for both villages, based on improving local links and reducing the impact and barrier effect of busy roads.
