Built Environment paper published

Built Environment magazine publishes a paper in its latest edition by Ben Hamilton-Baille. The paper, entitled "Shared Space: Reconciling People, Places and Traffic" provides a comprehensive background to the philosophy and principles underpinning recent innovations in street design, and summarizes a number of notable examples of shared space from the UK and mainland Europe.
The edition of Built Environment, Volume 34, Number 2, 2008, is edited by Ralf Brand of the University of Manchester. The edition title is "People plus Technology: New Approaches to Sustainable Mobility". You can link to the publisher's website here and subscribe.
